HoD's Message

Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Swami Nithyananda Polytechnic College, Kanhangad. We started our journey in the year of 1966 under the auspices of the Shree Nithyananda Vidyakendra, a registered society.  We offered a Diploma in Mechanical engineering. Over the last five decades, we have grown our expertise and competence in the core Mechanical Engineering education.

The sanctioned students strength is 60 per year. Our department offers science-based diploma in engineering curriculum under the Directorate of Technical Education. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students, promote their problem-solving skills and innovation of new technologies. The course contents are periodically updated for introducing new scientific and technological developments by the State Board of Technical Education, Kerala.

Our department has a distinguished record in both teaching, result and placement. Our faculty members have excellent academic credentials.
