SMITHY
The process of shaping steel by hand hammering at red-hot temperature after placing on an anvil is called smithying. It is considered as one of the oldest methods of shaping metal.

SHEET METAL
Sheet metal is a metal formed by industrial processes into thin, flat pieces normally called sheets. Sheet metal working involves cutting, bending, and forming sheets into various shapes. Common sheet metal forming processes include shearing, blanking/punching, and bending. Shearing cuts metal sheets along straight lines, blanking cuts closed outlines from sheets, and bending strains metal around edges.

CARPENTRY
Carpentry involves the cutting, shaping and installation of wood for buildings and structures. Carpentry is a skilled trade which dates back thousands of years, but is still used widely in modern construction

FOUNDRY
A foundry is a metal casting facility that creates metal objects by melting down metal, pouring molten metal into a mold, and letting it cool to solidify.

FITTING
Fitting is the working on components with hand tools and instruments, mostly on work benches. The hand operations in fitting shop include marking, filing, sawing, scraping, drilling, tapping, grinding, etc., using hand tools or power operated portable tools.

WELDING
Welding is the fabrication process whereby two or more parts are fused together by means of heat, pressure or both forming a join as the parts cool. The metals are heated to their melting point while being shielded from the air, and then a filler metal is added to the heated area to produce a single piece of metal.

MACHINE SHOP
Machine shop work include all cold-metal work by which an operator, using either power driven equipment or hand tools, removes a portion of the metal and shapes it to some specified form or size. Standard Machine tools used are Lathes, Drilling machines, Shapers, Planers, Milling machines & Grinding machines
