Scope
The term ‘Electronics and Communication’ is an engineering discipline which covers sub fields such as analog and digital circuit design, communication systems, computer hardware and software, optoelectronics and fiber optics, control system, VLSI design, embedded systems and power electronics. Electronics engineers engage in research, design, development and testing of the equipments in electronics and communications systems. The scope and job opportunities of Electronics engineering spreads in the area of manufacturing industries and other organizations such as Indian Railway, ISRO, DRDO, HAL, ONGC, ECIL, BEL, H.M.T, I.T.I, NIOT etc
About the Department
The electronics & communication department was established in 2004 with an intake of 50 students in the diploma programme under self-financing scheme. The department has qualified and experienced faculties. The staff members are deputed to participate in workshops and refresher courses to keep in pace with the recent development in the field of electronics & communication. The department has good infrastructural facilities and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories. The department library has an extensive collection of books. The department conducts supplementary technical programs, industrial visits and seminars in relevant topics. Effective monitoring of class room activities were done for each class by concerned faculty advisor under the guidance of Head of Section. Series and model test were conducted at each semester so as to help the students to prepare for the final exams. Special assistance has given to weaker students to clear back papers. Class PTA obtains due suggestions from parents while planning academic sessions.
